Summer Session 2020 Calendar
Below are the available dates for Summer Session 2020.
- Undergraduate Summer Sessions I and II
February 3, 2020: Financial aid opens - Wesleyan students only
February 28, 2020 (NOON): Deadline to apply for aid and receive award before registration opens
March 3, 2020: Financial aid awards for students who applied by 2/28/2020
March 6, 2020: Full registration opening
April 6, 2020: Deadline for all International non-Wesleyan students to apply
April 10, 2020: Deadline for International non-Wesleyan student I-20-related paperwork to be received in office
April 15, 2020 (NOON): Deadline to apply for financial aid
April 21, 2020: Financial aid awards for students who applied after 2/28/2020
April 30, 2020: Deadline for students to pay who registered before April 30. On or after April 30, students must pay in full before they are registered for the course.
May 8, 2020: Deadline to drop course(s) and receive a full refund
May 11, 2020: Courses with low enrollment will be cancelled.
May 15, 2020: Deadline for Local Community Scholars to apply for Session I
May 27, 2020: Session I: First Day of class
May 27, 2020: Registration Closes
May 27, 2020: One day drop/add period: dropped classes will not appear on transcript
May 27, 2020 (11:59PM): Deadline to drop course(s) in either Session I or Session II and owe only a $500 per session withdrawal penalty
May 28, 2020: Withdrawals are no longer eligible for refunds
June 19, 2020: Deadline to withdraw from a Summer Session I class with a "W" on the transcript; after this date a letter grade will be assigned
June 22, 2020: Deadline for Local PreCollege and Community Scholars to apply for Session II
June 23, 2020: Session I classes end
June 24-25, 2020: Session I exam period
June 29, 2020: Session II classes begin
June 29, 2020: Registration closes
June 29, 2020: One day add/drop period; dropped classes will not appear on transcript
July 9, 2020: Grades due, Session I
July 22, 2020: Last day to withdraw from Summer Session II classes with a "W" on transcript; after this date a letter grade will be assigned
July 24, 2020: Session II classes end
July 27-28, 2020: Session II exam period
August 11, 2020: Grades due, Session II

June 22, 2020: Deadline for Local PreCollege and Community Scholars to apply for Session II
June 23, 2020: Session I classes end
June 24-25, 2020: Session I exam period
June 27, 2020: Housing move-in for students in PreCollege Study residential program
June 29, 2020: Session II classes begin
June 29, 2020: Registration closes
June 29, 2020: One day add/drop period; dropped classes will not appear on transcript
July 4, 2020: NO CLASSES
July 7, 2020: Last day to withdraw from full session lab with a "W" on transcript; after this date a letter grade will be assigned
July 9, 2020: Chemistry Lab - last class
July 22, 2020: Last day to withdraw from Summer Session II classes with a "W" on transcript; after this date a letter grade will be assigned
July 24, 2020: Session II classes end
July 27-28, 2020: Session II exam period
July 29, 2020: Housing move-out
August 11, 2020: Grades due, Session II

Final Exam Schedule
Before you finalize your travel plans to and from campus, please review the Summer Session final exam schedule below. You may be able to leave campus a day or two early (For Session I, classes end June 23; exams are held June 24/25. For Session II, classes end July 24; exams are held July 27/28). Some instructors may require that a final paper be handed in during exam week, but often these can be sent via email.
