Payment

Please note that Wesleyan University does not accept credit cards for undergraduate tuition and fees.

  • Wesleyan Students

    You will be invoiced for Summer Session after we have received your request and your advisor's approval to register. Payment is due within 2 business days of the invoice date.

    Payment types:
    • E-payment using FlyWire through the Student Account Center in your Portal or the link in Portal/Summer Session bucket.
    • Pending Wesleyan grant aid and federal student loans (approved by Financial Aid): these will not appear on your student account until June, but are used to reduce the payment you need to make.
    • 529 plan payments: please list that as payment on your registration form.
    • Posse/VA Benefits: please list that as payment on your registration form.

     

  • Students from colleges other than Wesleyan

    Payment in full for all charges is due within 1 week of being registered for class. Students will be emailed information on accessing student accounts through a Wesleyan student portal. Please email glsbursar@wesleyan.edu if you need help calculating your payment.

    Wesleyan University accepts e-checks only as payment for Summer Session. The University does not accept credit cards for undergraduate tuition.

    Calendar:

    • Applications open: March 8, 2021
    • Cutoff for first award letter: noon Monday, March 22, 2021
    • First award email: March 26, 2021
    • Registration opens: Monday, April 5, 2021
    • Applications close: NOON April 15, 2021
      • This deadline is firm; no exceptions are granted as processing of applications begins at 12:01pm April 15, 2021
    • Final award email: April 19, 2021


    Eligibility:

    Wesleyan University grant aid is available to qualified Wesleyan University students. Wesleyan students should apply for aid using the application available in the Portal; applying for aid does not commit students to taking class. Summer Session does not meet full need for students; students should expect to use personal funds or student loans to meet the cost of Summer Session.

Refunds
  • Session I

    Summer 2021

    Please note: charges are reversed using the schedules below. Per University policy, students must request a refund of credit balances from the Student Accounts Office.

    Tuition:

    • Withdrawals received by May 6, 2021: 100% tuition charges are reversed
    • Withdrawals received between May 7 and May 28, 2021: tuition will be reversed and a $500 per-session withdrawal penalty will be assessed
      • Students registered for only Session I will be charged $500
      • Students registered for Session I and Session II will be charged $1,000
    • Withdrawals received after May 28: no tuition will be reversed

  • Session II
