Payment in full is required with registration. Wesleyan students only: tuition must be paid at the time of registration, however housing and dining will be billed to the student's account.

Wesleyan University accepts payment by check or Flywire in U. S. dollars. Checks should be payable to Wesleyan University and included with registration forms. Students with a WesID number, or parents who know their children's WesID numbers can submit pre-payment here: Please note: charges will not be posted to your student account until the University processes the registration.

Financial Aid

Wesleyan University grant aid is available to qualified Wesleyan University students. Wesleyan students should apply for aid using the application available in the Student Portal; applying for aid does not commit students to taking class. Summer Session does not meet full need for students; students should expect to use personal funds or student loans to meet the cost of Summer Session.

  • February 1, 2018: Aid applications open
  • March 6, 2018: Students who applied by March 1 will receive award notification
  • April 20, 2018: Aid application closes
  • April 24, 2018: Final award notices sent

Students from other colleges and universities may have federal and/or alternative loan options available for Summer Session and should contact the financial aid office of their college or university.

Veterans and Full-time/Part-time Status

In order for students to be considered full time during a winter/summer session, students are required to be enrolled in a minimum of 0.75 credits (3 credit hours). Students who fall below this minimum will be reported to the VA and will affect tuition payments.

International Students

Payment is required with registration, however we do recognize that it is not always easy to transfer funds in U.S. dollars to the U.S. from abroad. International students receiving an I-20 from Wesleyan University for Summer Session or PreCollege at Wesleyan may wire funds for charges to Wesleyan using Flywire, part of Wesleyan University's payment system.

  • Please send your registration form and housing selection (if applicable) to the Summer Session office following the instructions on your admission email.
  • After we receive your forms, you will receive confirmation that you have been registered for your courses from
  • In a separate email, you will receive instructions on using Flywire to wire your tuition and housing costs to Wesleyan.
    • Your actual payment amount will vary from the cost of attendance used to obtain your I-20 from Wesleyan, as cost of attendance includes items that are purchased individually such as books,personal supplies, and laundry costs.
  • Payment is required within three (3) U. S. business days of the email with payment instructions.

Other expenses while at Wesleyan

You will incur costs other than tuition and housing while at Wesleyan, including the cost of text books, personal items, and laundry. These items may not be charged to your student account, so please be prepared with a credit card and/or cash to cover these expenses.

    • Requests received May 10 - May 30, 2018: $500 per session penalty
    • Requests received after May 30, 2018: no refund
    • Please note that the $500 penalty is a per-session penalty; students who withdraw from both sessions between May 9 and May 30 will be charged a $1,000 penalty.
