Cost
  • Session I

    Tuition: $3,500.00 per credit

    • Payment of tuition is due before registration can be processed

    Meals: Meal plans are not available for Session I. Daniel Family Commons will be open for lunch Monday - Friday from June 3 through June 21, 2019.

    Housing prices below are from 2019. 2020 prices will be posted Nov. 1.

    • Session I only:
      • Single: $930.00
      • Double: $744.00

    • Sessions I and II:
      • Single: $1,950.00
      • Double: $1,560.00
    • Payment:
      • Wesleyan students can charge housing to their student accounts
      • Students from colleges other than Wesleyan must pay for housing when requesting it
  • Session II

    Tuition: $3,500.00 per credit

    Meals:

    • A 50-block meal plan for Session II is available for $450.00
    • Individual meals can be purchased:
        • Breakfast: $9.10
        • Lunch: $12.90
        • Dinner: $15.80
        • Brunch: $12.90
    •  Payment:
      • Wesleyan students can charge meal plans to their student accounts
      • Students from colleges other than Wesleyan must pay for meal plans when requesting them

    Housing:

    • Session II only:
      • Single: $960.00
      • Double: $768.00

    • Sessions I and II
      • Single: $1,950.00
      • Double: $1,560.00
    • Payment:
      • Wesleyan students can charge housing to their student accounts
      • Students from colleges other than Wesleyan must pay for housing when requesting it
  • PreCollege

    Residential Scholars:

    • Total charges: 
    • Tuition: $7,000 (two full-credit courses)
    • Residential Comprehensive Fee: 2020 fee will be posted Nov. 1. 2019 fee was $3,520.00
      • Fee includes all meals and scheduled activities

    Local Scholars:

    • Tuition only: $3,500.00 per credit
    • Meals: may be purchased with cash or credit card at the cafeteria or with a meal plan

    Financial Aid: Aid is not available for the PreCollege program

Payment
  • Wesleyan Students

    Payment of tuition is due before you can be registered for class.

    Payment types:
    • E-check, paper check, or (international students only) FlyWire through the Student Account Center in your Portal or the link in Portal/Summer Session bucket.
    • Students can direct authorized payers to access the Student Account Center via https://wesleyan.afford.com/ . Payers should then select "Wesleyan University, CT - Undergraduate Students" and "Make a One-Time Payment".
    • Pending Wesleyan grant aid and federal student loans (approved by Financial Aid): these will not appear on your student account until June, but are used to reduce the payment you need to make.
    • 529 plan payments: please list that as payment on your registration form.
    • Posse/VA Benefits: please list that as payment on your registration form.

    Housing and meal plans will be billed to your student account.

  • PreCollege Students
    • A $250.00 deposit will be due with your acceptance of your admission offer
    • The balance is due within 5 business days of registration and should be paid through the "$" (Payments) link in the dashboard of your portal
    • Wesleyan accepts e-checks and (international students only) FlyWire payments
Financial Aid
  • Wesleyan Students

    The Financial aid application can be found in Portal/Summer Session bucket

    Calendar:

    • Applications open: February 1, 2019
    • Cutoff for first award letter: noon February 22, 2019
    • First award email: February 26, 2019
    • Registration opens: March 6, 2019
    • Applications close: NOON April 19, 2019
      • This deadline is firm; no exceptions are granted as processing of applications begins at 12:01 April 19
    • Final award email: April 23, 2019

    Eligibility:

    Wesleyan University grant aid is available to qualified Wesleyan University students. Wesleyan students should apply for aid using the application available in the Portal; applying for aid does not commit students to taking class. Summer Session does not meet full need for students; students should expect to use personal funds or student loans to meet the cost of Summer Session.

  • PreCollege
    Financial aid is not available for the PreCollege at Wesleyan program.
Refunds
  • Session I

    Please note: charges are reversed using the schedules below. Per University policy, students must request a refund of credit balances from the Student Accounts Office.

    Tuition:

    • Withdrawals received by May 8, 2019: 100% tuition charges are reversed
    • Withdrawals received between May 9 and May 29, 2019: tuition will be reversed and a $500 per-session withdrawal penalty will be assessed
      • Students registered for only Session I will be charged $500
      • Students registered for Session I and Session II will be charged $1,000
    • Withdrawals received after May 29: no tuition will be reversed

     

    Dining:

    • Dining is not available during Session I

     

    Housing:

    • Students who cancel the housing contract after May 3, 2019 will incur a $150 contract breakage fee and be charged a per-diem rate for housing
  • Summer Session II

    Please note: charges are reversed using the schedules below. Per University policy, students must request a refund of credit balances from the Student Accounts Office.

    Tuition:

    • Withdrawals received by May 8, 2020: 100% tuition charges are reversed
    • Withdrawals received between May 9 and May 27, 2020: tuition will be reversed and a $500 per session withdrawal penalty will be assessed:
      • Students registered for only Session II will be charged $500
      • Students registered for Session I and Session II will be charged $1,000
    • Withdrawals received after May 29: no tuition will be reversed

     

    Dining:

     

    Housing:

    • Students with a housing contract for Session I and Session II who cancel after May 3, 2019 will incur a $150 contract breakage fee and be charged a per-diem rate for housing
    • Students with a housing contract for Session II only who cancel after June 8, 2019 will incur a $150 contract breakage fee and be charged a per-diem rate for housing
  • PreCollege Study

    The Continuing Studies Office will request refunds for PreCollege Students from the Student Accounts Office.

    Tuition:

    • Withdrawals received by May 8, 2019: 100% tuition charges are reversed
    • Withdrawals received between May 9 and May 29, 2019: tuition will be reversed and a $500 per session withdrawal penalty will be assessed
      • Students registered for only Session II will be charged $500
      • Students registered for Session I and Session II will be charged $1,000
