LAB SERVICES- Diagnostic and Routine laboratory testing is provided at the Health Center.
Most lab work is performed in the office such as urinalysis, rapid mono, strep and flu testing, urine pregnancy testing, etc.
External lab tests such as bloodwork and specimen cultures are sent to Quest Diagnostics.
External Lab Tests Ordered by Our Providers:
Health Center providers may need to order external lab tests to be performed by Quest Labratory as part of your clinical workup. If you have the student health insurance plan, there is no out of pocket cost for these tests. If you have private health insurance, there is a $15.00 lab charge billed to your student account, and Quest will bill your insurance directly for testing that is performed. Students should be aware of their insurance plan details regarding coverage.
External Lab Tests Ordered by An Outside Provider:
If you have a lab slip from an outside provider for bloodwork, you can have that collected at the health center. Please schedule an appointment online or by telephone to see our certified phlebotomist and you must bring a copy of your lab slip to your appointment. Your lab test results will be forwarded to the ordering provider once they are received. A $15.00 lab charge will be billed to your student account.
