Reunion & Commencement 2021

Since 2000 Wesleyan’s Reunion & Commencement Weekend have been combined to create a true community event. This year, this pandemic has necessitated the shifting of the two events from their traditional time. Careful consideration of a variety of factors led to the selection these new dates.

189th Commencement Ceremony: Wednesday, May 26, 2021

Wesleyan's 189th Commencement Ceremony will take place outdoors on Wednesday, May 26 at 11 a.m. on Andrus Field.

The University will most likely allow a limited number of guests to attend the ceremony. Seniors who have been studying remotely will also be able to return to campus for Commencement exercises. We will, of course, continue to monitor conditions in regards to the ongoing pandemic in order to ensure the safety of all attendees.

As with all of Wesleyan’s COVID-related policies and guidelines, these plans are tentative and subject to change if conditions necessitate. The University will continue to communicate more specific details of Commencement in the coming weeks.

Alumni and Wesleyan families who cannot be on campus for the 189th Commencement Ceremony are invited to view the Ceremony virtually. More details coming soon.

Virtual Reunion Week: May 10 - May 15, 2021

We had hoped that the trajectory of the pandemic might be such that we could move ahead with our traditional plans, but under current conditions, have decided that gathering a large Reunion group of alumni, guests, students, faculty and staff in May would pose too large a risk to the health and safety of our community and beyond.

All Wesleyan families including parents and non-reunion alumni are invited to participate in Virtual Reunion Week (May 10-15) and experience life at Wesleyan by attending WESeminars, social events, and much more.
