Faculty Fellowships

The Center for the Humanities (CHUM) offers semester-long faculty fellowships to support research on particular themes, which change every semester. The faculty fellowships enable Wesleyan faculty to spend a semester in residence at the Center, receive a course release to concentrate on their research, and teach a new seminar connected to their research theme.

The College of the Environment (COE) offers year-long fellowships to Wesleyan faculty to take part in the COE Think Tank. Over the course of the year the COE faculty fellows are in residence at the COE, participate in the Think Tank research on a designated theme, and receive a course release e

Student Research Internships and Apprenticeships

Funded through GISOS, student-faculty research internships allow undergraduates to work closely with faculty on active research projects, gaining hands-on experience in data collection, analysis, and disciplinary methods. Preference given to students pursuing their first Wesleyan-sponsored internship. Faculty may apply for this funding alongside other project grants or for separate projects. Deadline is March for the following summer or year.

The Quantitative Analysis Center Summer Apprenticeship Program trains and funds students who are working on data analyses related to support faculty projects. The deadline is early March for the following academic year.

External Funding Sources

The Office of Corporate, Foundation & Government Grants can help faculty find external funding to support their research, support faculty as they apply for those grants, and support the reporting for institutional grants.
