Wesleyan’s winter break for the 2025-2026 academic year spans Sunday, December 21st through Wednesday, January 21st. The Spring 2026 Semester begins on Thursday, January 22nd

The Office of International Student Affairs (OISA) is closed Wednesday, December 24, 2025 - Friday, January 2, 2026 for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. After this holiday break, we will resume our services on Monday, January 5th. We will also be closed on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

During winter break, we will be working remotely on the following dates: December 23rd, January 5th, January 9th, January 12th, and January 16th. For all other days in January, we will be working at our office location in Fisk Hall Room 105. As usual, our workdays continue to be Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm EST.

If you have a question or concern related to your visa status or another aspect of your international student experience at Wesleyan, please send an email to oisa@wesleyan.edu and include your first and last name as listed on your passport and your WesID. To schedule a virtual or in-person advising consultation with an OISA staff member during winter break: please email oisa@wesleyan.edu and include your first and last name as listed on your passport, your WesID, your availability to meet during our hours of operation, and your preferred modality (in person or virtual).

If you need a travel signature, please log into the International Student & Scholar (ISS) Portal and complete and submit a Travel Signature Request via the F-1 Student Requests page. Please note: travel signatures on page 2 of your Form I-20 are valid for 1 year while you are enrolled at Wesleyan, and valid for 6 months if you are working in the U.S. on post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) or the STEM OPT Extension. You do not need a travel signature to depart the U.S. However, you must have a valid travel signature on page 2 of your Form I-20 anytime you are re-entering the U.S. after a trip abroad.

If our office is closed and you are looking for information related to your F-1 student visa status, such as working on campus, applying for practical training authorization, or traveling internationally, please visit our website.

If you are a Wesleyan student staying on campus during winter break and you experience an emergency that is endangering your physical well-being, please call 911 immediately or contact Public Safety.
