The Christopher Brodigan Award

1. Read the general decription of the Brodigan Award and look at examples of past projects.
2. Submit the application that includes the following:
- A proposal (2 pages) which includes the following information:
- Description of project
- Plan for carrying out the project
- Identification and description of any sponsoring organization
- If appropriate, the proposal should address any concerns regarding health, safety or political sensitivity
- A budget, including airfare and room and board costs (1 page)
- A resume, including a listing and description of relevant Wesleyan coursework or other experiences
- The name of one faculty member who will serve as a reference for you and for your project (preferably from the African Studies faculty).
3. Applications are generally due in early April. The deadline for will be announced soon. Applications should be submitted by email to the faculty chair of the Brodigan Committee.

Students may also consider contacting last year’s recipients (listed below)to request copies of their proposals and tips on writing an effective proposal.
