Student Organizations

The American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Chapter is a student-led organization affiliated with the national ACS, the world’s largest scientific society. The chapter provides opportunities for students to explore chemistry beyond the classroom through outreach, professional development, and networking with the broader scientific community. All students interested in chemistry are welcome to participate, regardless of major.  To learn more about ACS membership benefits, visit www.acs.org/membership

The Free Radicals are a student-led social organization made up of junior and senior chemistry majors who work to build a sense of community among chemistry students. Through informal events and peer-led activities, the group fosters connections among majors and students taking chemistry courses at all levels. While the group is led by declared majors, prospective chemistry majors are warmly encouraged to participate.
