What do you love about Wesleyan?
One of the many things that I love about Wes is its sense of community and the unwavering support network. Navigating college as an FGLI international student can be pretty challenging. However, there has not been a day throughout my four years here where I did not feel the care, love, and support of my peers, faculty, and staff. Whenever I spoke to my friends at other LACs or larger universities, I always sensed that the level of genuine care and community at Wes is something truly unique. I will always be grateful for all the ways this community has supported me throughout my time here.
What inspires you?
My family has been my greatest source of inspiration. They’ve been incredible role models whom I look up to every day. My mom inspires me to be the best, most caring version of myself; my dad has taught me the value of hard work; and my brother motivates me to stay creative and unafraid to take risks in life.
The people I’ve met at Wesleyan are another constant source of inspiration. Some are opening their own galleries straight out of college, others are becoming teachers and inspiring the next generation, and a few are moving across the world to pursue their dreams. Each of them has a unique story and excels in their passions, and I find that incredibly inspiring.
