Kindergarten Kickstart

Kindergarten Kickstart provides a summer Pre-K experience for upcoming Macdonough and Farm Hill School students. Students participate in a five full-day program for five weeks to boost their skills for success in literacy. The program focuses on three proven early indicators of success.

  1. Oral language competence
  2. Exposure to writing and printed media
  3. Development of background knowledge about the world

Each week has a special theme to explore; for example, food, animals, and our neighborhood. The Green Street Arts Center and PIMMS will work closely with a Kickstart class to create more arts and science activities for the curriculum.
