PRIVATE LESSONS

Want to learn or develop a new skill in the arts? Private lessons are a great way to grow artistically and to gain self-confidence and discipline. Lessons are open to all ages and abilities so don’t be shy. Sign up for one-on-one or small group lessons and receive professional, dedicated mentorship, and guidance from one of our great instructors.

Students also have the opportunity to share their work in recitals and exhibits here at Green Street.

We offer lessons in a wide variety of areas. If you don’t see something you’re interested in, let us know! We have a growing list of instructors to serve your needs.

Available Lessons

• Music – African drumming, banjo, drum set, guitar, saxophone, trumpet, violin/viola, voice
• Art – drawing, painting, photography
• Movement – ballet, belly dance, breakdance, capoeira, jazz, salsa, ballroom
• Media – digital animation, photoshop
• Theater arts – acting, improvisation
• Creative writing – poetry, song writing
• Recording – record a piece with our sound technician our learn to be a sound technician yourself in our recording studio.

Call or e-mail us today with your interest and availability to register. You can choose lessons with an experienced teaching artist or a Wesleyan student as an instructor.

Private Lesson Packages and Pricing

Students can take up to 2 weeks of private lesson to make sure they like the topic. After 2 weeks, choose a 6 week or 10 week block of lessons. The 2 original lessons will be applied to the block – so for example if you decide you want a 10 week lesson after the 2 trial lessons, you’ll have 8 lessons left in your block and the cost of the 2 trial lessons are applied to the total balance.

Want your kids to take lessons together? We do offer group lessons.

Private Lessons in Recording are $65/hour, no discounts.

 

Payment for each trial lesson is due at the beginning of each lesson. Payment for a block of lessons can be made in full at the beginning or in 2 payments – 1 at the beginning and 1 prior to the last half of the block. Gift certificates available.
