The purpose of Graduate Liberal Studies is to give students the tools to approach any subject with the critical reasoning, creative thinking, and high-level communication skills that will advance them in every aspect of their personal and professional lives. Rather than becoming specialists in narrow fields, GLS graduates possess the highly-valued ability to connect across disciplines, identify multiple possibilities, and argue all sides of a topic.
"I made the best decision...for my Master's. Although I am learning from experts in their fields about reading, writing, data, art, photography, etc., I am also learning about people, culture, life, and myself through the interactions within class with the professors and fellow students. I know I couldn't get this anywhere else."
- Anthony Albrecht, MALS Candidate
