During Wesleyan's Homecoming/Family Weekend, Amy Bigelow MPhil'17 will present her MPhil thesis as an hour-long WESeminar for the Wesleyan community. "Beyond its role as a captivating puzzle, the Rubik's cube provides and excellent introduction to group theory. This talk will explain how just a few standard moves can be used to solve the Rubik's cube." This December, join the faculty, staff, alumni and students of Wesleyan's Graduate Liberal Studies for a unique event: Desserts in the Observatory! The Van Vleck telescopes will be open for viewing, Professor Roy Kilgard will give an astronomy talk, and an array of desserts will provide refreshment.

GLS Book Club

Open to GLS students and alumni, the GLS Book Club meets six times a year (three times each in fall and spring). E-mail masters@wesleyan.edu for location and submission details.

MALS and MPhil Presentations
All are invited to attend MPhil thesis and MALS capstone presentations, held the first week of May each year. 

Resume and Cover Letter Writing Workshop
Held each June, this workshop for GLS students and alumni provides tips and feedback on professional writing materials.

Proposal Research and Writing Workshop
Current GLS students planning to complete an capstone or thesis can learn how to research, write and submit a successful proposal at this annual workshop held each July. Students interested in proposing tutorials are also welcome to attend.
