Applying to Wesleyan

Home Schooled Students

Wesleyan welcomes applications from students who have been home schooled for some or all of their educational careers. The admission committee evaluates home schooled applicants the same way they evaluate other applicants who attend formal schools.

Home schooled applicants are required to submit the Home School Supplement to the Common Application. We also need to see a clear “transcript” of courses taken in high school, as well as any official transcripts from colleges or high schools.

The same requirements for standardized testing (SAT with two SAT subject tests OR the ACT) apply for home-schooled students as they do for any students in the applicant pool. In addition, home schooled students typically submit additional testing as further demonstration of their academic achievement and/or external validation of their home school curriculum.
