ACTIVITIES:
|
I have served
on the
Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA)
since my freshman year. As a
sophomore I was chair of the
WSA's Student Budget Committee.
I have worked as both a peer
writing mentor and a writing
tutor through the
Writing Workshop. This
year I am editor of the online
content of
The Wesleyan Argus.
I've performed in a number of
student-choreographed dance
performances. I also
occasionally write for the
unofficial campus blog Wesleying. |
OUTSIDE
WESLEYAN:
|
I spent my
junior year fall semester in
Paris, France. While in Paris I
interned at a photo
archiving and publishing house.
In summer '08 I was an editorial
intern at Preservation Magazine
in Washington DC. This past
summer I had the opportunity to
work for the New York Daily
News. During this time I wrote
stories that covered primarily
Brooklyn neighborhoods and
people. I was also a
communications intern for Cancer
Schmancer, the non-profit
organization founded by Fran
Drescher which seeks to educate
women about the early warning
signs of gynecological cancers. |
AFTER
WESLEYAN:
|
I hope to work in journalism or
communication after graduation.
I may eventually apply to
graduate school. |
FAV WES EXPERIENCE:
|
Though this is not a very
original favorite experience, I
have to say that seeing Obama
speak at the
2008 Wesleyan Commencement
was awesome. |
