INGRID PARL
|
HOMETOWN:
|
Arlington, MA |
HIGH SCHOOL:
|
Buckingham,
Browne, and Nicols |
MAJOR:
|
The College of Social Studies
(CSS),
Psychology |
THESIS:
|
Danish Welfare
State and its applicability to
the United States. I hope to use
all study areas of the CSS -
government, economics, history,
and philosophy - throughout the
piece. |
ACTIVITIES:
|
I'm mainly
involved in
Varsity Women's Soccer,
Ebony Singers and a work-study
job in the Athletic Department.
I have also participated in
club ice hockey,
intramural softball and
intramural basketball.
I also had the opportunity to
work as a teacher's assistant
(TA) in the Psychology
Department and have been a tour
guide since my sophomore year. |
OUTSIDE
WESLEYAN:
|
I have been
interning at Goldman Sachs
in New York for the past two
summers, and spent my sophomore
winter working at Siemans with a
Wesleyan alum. I took the
fall of my junior year off and
traveled to parts of Africa,
India, Thailand, Australia, and
Fiji for four months on my own. |
AFTER
WESLEYAN:
|
I plan to spend a couple of
years traveling, working and
volunteering, then going to law
school. |
FAV WES EXPERIENCE:
|
I lived in a fraternity my
sophomore year. And yes,
I'm a girl! It was certainly an
atypical experience, but I ended
up meeting a whole new crowd of
people and getting a clue into
the frat life at Wes that I
otherwise would not have been
able to have. |
