Experience: Jerry Eagan has been with Wesleyan University since 1988 for 26 years. Before that, Egan went through a variety of safety-oriented careers, working with an ambulance, as a volunteer firefighter, an EMT, and Marriott Hotel security, before arriving at Wesleyan at the ripe age of 18.

Why Wes?: When looking back at his career, Egan says, “Time flies by when you’re having fun”. Egan enjoys working with the diversity his job exposes him to while working with the student of Wesleyan. He strives to do his best at making the campus safe. Egan describes himself as easygoing, and his philosophy is to handle things without stress and make the day go by easier for Wesleyan.

Best part of the job: The New England weather. Egan, who has always been a New Englander, loves walking out on patrol to enjoy the scenery.

Favorite Genres: Egan has a 3-year old daughter, and always watches children’s movies, loving to watch her reactions. Favorite music: Easy listening
