PAYMENT OPTIONS

Personal Payments

  • E-Check

E-Check is a convenient, online way to debit a bank account directly. To make payment by e-check log into your Student Account and click on "Make Payment". Returned e-checks are subject to a $30 fee - carefully enter routing and account numbers.
  • Personal Check or Money Order

To avoid mailing delays entirely, we encourage students/families to pay via our online payment portal by logging into your student account, which is processed immediately and confirms receipt right away.

If payment must be mailed, to ensure your payment arrives on time, we strongly recommend the following:

    • Send via UPS or FedEx. These carriers provide reliable delivery timelines and tracking as standard, and are our preferred method for mailed payments.
    • If you must use USPS, send your payment via Priority Mail with tracking. Do not use standard First-Class Mail, as these items are not prioritized and delivery times can be highly unpredictable.

    Mailing Address:

    Wesleyan University
    Attn: Student Accounts Office
    237 High Street
    Middletown, CT 06459

    Please plan accordingly:
Mailed payments should be sent well in advance of the payment due date to account for transit time. We recommend retaining your tracking number until you've confirmed the payment has been received and processed by our office.

Wesleyan University has experienced significant, ongoing delays with tuition payments sent via standard USPS mail. In some cases, payments have taken 3–5 weeks to arrive, and others have been lost or returned to sender entirely. Based on guidance from USPS, mail sent without tracking or without a Priority Mail designation is not prioritized for delivery and may be delayed indefinitely.

  • 529 College Savings Plan Payments

The University accepts 529 college savings plan payments by check and now by electronic ACH (participating plan providers only). In most cases it's easy to request a withdrawal. You can call your plan administrator, make a request online or submit a withdrawal request form. Plan withdrawals should be sent directly to Wesleyan University. Electronic ACH is preferred if the option is presented by your provider. Otherwise, 529 college savings plan checks should be sent to: Wesleyan University, Attn: Student Accounts Office, 237 High Street, Middletown, CT 06459.
