Interviews

  • Although interviews are not a required part of the application process, they are highly recommended.  Interviews at Wesleyan are evaluative, play a role in the admission process, and are a valuable opportunity for an exchange of information about both the candidate and the University.  Interviews are available on campus or in a student's selected area through our network of alumni interviewers.  Campus interviews are conducted by admission deans and senior interviewers.  Meet our senior interviewers!

  • We begin to interview rising seniors on campus on the first Monday in June.  Students may call beginning in May to make arrangements.  There are openings on weekdays from June 1, 2009 through December 19, 2009 and Saturday mornings between September 12, 2009 and December 5, 2009.  To schedule a campus interview appointment please call the Admission Office (860) 685-3000 or send an email to: (interview@wesleyan.edu).  Please include your full name, address, phone number, WesID, and two preferred dates, specifying morning or afternoon in your email. 

  • Campus interviews are required for transfer applicants attending a Connecticut Community College and those who are already taking classes at Wesleyan.  Campus interviews are also required for students who have interrupted their schooling for a year or more. Interviews are offered Monday through Friday from June to the Transfer deadline of March 15th.  Transfer applicants who do not require an interview may schedule an alumni interview in their area.  On-campus interviews may be scheduled through Karen O'Leary at kmoleary@wesleyan.edu or (860) 685-2987.

  • If you cannot visit the campus and would like to schedule an interview with a Wesleyan Alumni Admission Volunteer, (please note that you must have a WesID to schedule a WAAV interview) please click here.  If you do not have an ID, click here and an ID will be emailed directly to you within 24 hours.  If you would like an alumni interview outside the United States please email (waav@wesleyan.edu).

  • Deadlines for initiating alumni interviews are as follows:  November 14th for EDI, and December 19th for EDII and Regular Decision applicants.  For Transfers the deadline is March 15th.
