Passport to Science

A  program that invites kids in the Middletown and surrounding community on campus to experience and explore all that science has to offer. Activities include Space Nights at the observatory, visiting the Joe Webb Peoples Museum, lab tours, and discipline specific workshops, games, and other activities.

SAVE THE DATE: Our inaugural event on Wesleyan's campus will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026!

Are you interested in particiapting in the Passport to Science program?

  • interact with kids in our community
  • demonstrate the importance of science and math
  • volunteer with like minded peers and mentors
  • help shape the Passport curriculum
  • design activities based on your own experience, research, and interests

Passport activities are on or near campus and the time committment can be as little as two hours a month or six hours a semester. All students are welcome to participate regardless of major or year. Middletown Families!

Hello! The Passport to Science Program is a unique initiative we are currently planning to bring science to elementary school and middle school students. Students will visit Wesleyan's campus for a weekend event where students will be given a booklet or “passport” that can be stamped after attending a variety of organized activities across disciplines in the sciences. Stamps can be collected throughout the school year at related events.
