CIS 493Z Summer Research Fellowship
This course is open to students engaged in summer research fellowships to receive .25 credit upon successful completion of a summer research educational experience. Summer Research Fellows conduct independent research with faculty mentors in one or more departments. Students must satisfy the requirements of the fellowship and complete the course assignments in order to receive credit. Requirements are specific to the program students are sorted into.
Students will be enrolled through the office of the CIS and Regsitrar; neither students nor faculty mentors need to submit anything. There is no cost to students for enrollment in this course.
Section 01 College of Integrative Sciences (CIS)
- Participate in Orientation (program overview and all applicable safety workshops).
- Participate in three additional workshops. Workshop details are available by date and by series.
- Attend all seminars. Seminar details are listed here.
- Participate in the Summer Science Symposium. To prepare for the symposium students are expected to attend the Abstract and Poster Design presentation workshops.
- Complete the evaluation (available in the last week of the program).
Students funded through CIS, WesMaSS, GISOS, a Summer Experience grant, external grants or fellowships, or any individual faculty or department monies will be enrolled in section 01.
Students funded through the College of the Environment (COE) will be enrolled in section 02 and can find course requirements on their webpage.
Students funded through the Quantitative Analysis Center (QAC) will be enrolled in section 03 and can find course requirements on their webpage.
