QPR Suicide Prevention Training & Certification with WesWell

WesWell

QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention training that teaches participants how to engage with a person who might be suicidal and get them to a supportive resource. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer - the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. In this training, you will learn facts and figures about suicide, what the warning signs are (verbal, behavioral, and situational), and how to engage in a productive and direct dialogue with someone who might be at risk. All trainees will receive a formal QPR certification (similar to CPR certification) that is valid for 2 years following their training date.
