Residence Halls

We acknowledge the people- past, present, and future- of the Wangunk Tribe on whose traditional lands the residence halls at Wesleyan University reside.

Each residence halls at Wesleyan University are Each residence hall at Wesleyan has its own personality and advantages. Living in residence halls includes living in communities with at least one upper-class student who serves as Student Staff. Student Staff develop community, provide opportunities for social and educational growth, and serve as a resource to help you learn about Wesleyan. Each residential unit includes a laundry room with card-operated washers and dryers.

Student rooms are furnished with one Twin XL bed, dresser, desk, and chair for each resident of the room. Additionally, closets and/or wardrobes are provided.  Rooms are equipped with a wireless internet connection.

As students move through their years at Wesleyan, they have an opportunity to choose an increasingly more independent living option from residence hall doubles to singles to program houses, apartments, and eventually wood frame houses. All of these options are within a 5-10 minute walk to campus. All of our units house all genders; however, some residence halls halls offer single-sex floors. Smoking is prohibited in all University Housing. Residential facilities vary by size, room type, and ratio of first-year to upper-class students.

Twin XL Bed: 36”x 80” with adjustable height to 30” clearance under bed.

Dresser: 32”x24”x30” (fits under the bed) – 3 drawers

Desk: 48”x24”x31” with 3 drawer pedestal

Bookshelf: 32”x12”x36”

Wardrobe (where no closet is available): 24”x25”x72”
