ENROLLMENT STATUS INFORMATION

  • Accessing Student Record

To access your advisees' student record, click on WesPortal>Academics>Academic Toolbox. Clicking on a student's name will open the Student Profile.  Within the 'Advisees' table, you can access advisor information, certification forms, general education report, credit analysis report, academic history, class schedule, placement recommendations and the student files (DocFinity).

  • Accessing Drop/Add

To access your advisee's drop/add page to view and/or approve changes to your student's schedule or to bump your student's credit limit please click on the drop/add link in the drop/add column in the student's row.  If the row is highlighted in yellow then an action is required on your part. For more detailed information about drop/add, click here.

  • Accessing Pre-Registration
To access your advisee's pre-registration page please click on the pre-reg link in the pre-registration column in the student's row of information.  If the row is highlighted in yellow then an action is required on your part. For more detailed information about pre-registration, click here.
  • Confirming Schedules

Every semester once drop/add is over your advisees receive an e-mail from the Registrar requesting that they confirm their "Current classes and schedule".  They can do this electronically through WesPortal.  Your advisees can confirm that their schedule is either correct or incorrect.  If they indicate that their schedule is incorrect they are provided with instructions on how to correct it.  This will usually involve petitioning their class dean for a late add or delete.  Student's who fail to confirmation the accuracy of their current term schedule will not be able to participate in the planning and scheduling periods.  They may create plans and they may participate in the adjustment period.

  • Backup Advisor

Students who appear in your advisee list with an '*' in front of their name have been assigned to you by a colleague.  You are the student's temporary backup advisor.  During pre-registration and drop/add you will receive the nightly e-mails notification about changes in these students' course registration activities.  You will be able to approve changes on behalf of your colleague for these students.
