John Spencer Camp Professor of Music Emeritus Alvin Lucier’s Gentle Fire (1971) provides the “bonfire” demanded by Pauline Oliveros for the culmination of her immersive theater piece Link (1971), which will be performed on the Wesleyan University campus at 2pm. Gentle Fire, the final event of the day, takes place live and online in a pioneering acoustic version, directed by Associate Professor of Music Jane Alden.
